The 2014 Annual Fortius Halloween Weightlifting competition and Last Chance Qualifier for the 2014 American Open. 4 sessions, 50 total weightlifters. The first 2 sessions will be a Developmental, designed for beginners and first timers. Halloween costumes are encouraged. The last 2 sessions will be a regular USA Weightlifting Sanctioned Meet, and a last chance qualifier for the American Open. Singlets and USA Weightlifting membership are required. Will be judged by USA Weightlifting Certified Referees. This is a small competition, so it will likely fill up fast. Session times and weight classes TBD. Tentative schedule, subject to change... Session 1: Weigh-in 10:30am, Lift: 12:30pm Session 2: Weigh-in 12:30pm, Lift: 2:30pm Session 3: Weigh-in 2:30pm, Lift: 4:30pm Session 4: Weigh-in 4:30pm, Lift: 6:30pm Final Schedule will be announced at least one week prior to competition. A message from Julie Hoyt and a huge "thank you" to all of our CFMG Athletes who WODed in support of Ted and Julie yesterday, old and new, near and far. The strength and compassion of our community never ceases to amaze me, and I was so touched to witness the athletes (some who have never even met Ted) who approached Julie to offer condolences and words of comfort.
